What a day! Let me start by saying Happy Birthday to one of my absolute favorite people, Nicole!
I went to work and brought a small lunch with me, I was still pretty satisfied from my late omelette breakfast!

A Light Thick and Creamy Strawberry Yoplait Yogurt and a Caramel Nut Brownie Luna Bar!
I headed to the school bookstore after work to sell back my books, I got a whole $20…kind of pathetic but hey its money right!
After that I went back to the loft, got caught up on a few blogs, and then got motivated to go running. I locked the door and tied my key to the drawstring of my shorts and then headed out of the building. I ran a total of 3.9 miles (close enough to four right?) in 35 minutes! I was really pumped about my run! When I got in the elevator to head up to my loft however, I realized my key was gone! I immediately retraced my steps, I spent over an hour searching for the key. The last place I remembered hearing it jingle was in the park outside the building, so I was pretty sure I didn’t need to retrace all 3.9 miles of my run. Finally I decided to re-run the first part of my run and then head to my sorority cottage to borrow a cell phone and call Tyler. So after another 1.5 miles of running, I got to call Tyler and he offered to come home and help me look for the key before it got dark.
Tyler picked me up at the sorority cottage and we drove back to the loft and started looking. As we are looking through the parking lot after retracing some steps, I see a shiny object, where IN THE PARKING LOT! The key was so close to home the whole time! It had been run over by at least one vehicle for sure, and I wonder if it had been temporarily stuck in a wheel and that’s why I couldn’t find it because I looked in the exact spot I found it at least twice before going to call Tyler. Slightly frustrating I must say, but at least we found the key in the end!

The Run-Away Key with it’s Mangled Key Ring! If anyone has any better ideas of how to carry my apartment key when I run, I would very much appreciate it, because tying it in with my drawstring is not foolproof enough anymore! I must say I am really proud of myself for staying calm during the whole thing and not freaking out about being locked out of my apartment!
When we got back from the key adventure I ate some grapes for a snack then showered and got ready for a friend’s surprise birthday dinner. At the dinner I had a little bit of a delicious chicken and rice dinner and some fruit soup. It was Nicole’s 22 birthday today, you should have seen the look on her face, she thought she was having an intimate dinner with her boyfriend and instead there were 10 other people there. I think she enjoyed it though!
I left early to go home and eat my real dinner with Tyler, but as I was walking to my car, my sorority sister Kimmi called to me to come help her, there was a cat stuck on a roof of a house! Kimmi and I both have a soft spot for cats and we just couldn’t leave the poor thing up there meowing, it couldn’t get down! We tried the doorbell and even tried calling the police department and our campus safety. No one was any help, which I find extremely disappointing! Finally a neighbor offered up a ladder and a guy that had stopped to see what the commotion was climbed up on the roof and read the tag on the cat’s collar. We called the owner and he came to help get the cat down. The cat was so happy when it finally had all four paws on solid ground, it was also really glad to see it’s daddy.
I left content and went home to have dinner way late with Tyler.

I had lettuce with 3 oz of shrimp, 1/2 oz of shredded cheddar cheese, green peppers, 2 Tbs. of bacon crumbles and Honey Lemon Viniagrette for dressing. YUM YUM YUM!
I was still hungry after dinner so I made a big big big smoothie for Tyler and I. I didn’t mean it to be so huge, Tyler’s portion didn’t even fit in one glass, he got one big one and one small one!

This was a strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothie, probably clocking in around 300 to 350 calories. I would usually not eat a smoothie this big especially after dinner, but I really needed some more calories after all the activity I did…just to give you an idea, my pedometer right now reads: 16660! No guilt here!
It’s time to pack it in now, Tyler and I will be heading to bed shortly. I’ll be slaving away on my paper most of the day tomorrow, except when I have an interview at 2:30pm for a nanny position. Wish me luck, I really need a job and would love to nanny again this summer especially for some older children, more fun things to do with them!
