100th Post Giveaway!

I’m sure you’d rather me get right down to the giveaway, but first you’ll just have to suffer through hearing about my day. I know I’m terrible!

Here’s a look at my To Do List:

  • 30 Day Shred
  • Zumba tonight Went for a 2.5 mile run in 22.5 minutes instead
  • Pick up pool chemicals
  • Start Pool Filter
  • Vacuum pool
  • Pick up goodies for 100th Post Giveaway!
  • Party store
  • Go through receipts from May
  • Pay credit card bill
  • 2 loads of laundry
  • Fold and put away laundry
  • Clean out car
  • Drop off stuff at Goodwill

I’d say I did pretty well!

My workout today as listed above was Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred and then a 2.5 mile run in 22.5 minutes.

Lunch was a pita pizza. I used 1 whole wheat pita and topped it with 1/3 cup spaghetti sauce, 1 oz shredded colby jack cheese, 1 serving turkey pepperoni. I popped it in the oven at 300 degrees for 18 minutes. I ate my pita pizza with 3 oz carrot sticks and 2.5 Tbs. Nasoya Dijon Style Sandwich Spread for carrot dipping.

I spent my afternoon taking care of all the pool stuff, in the rain. Cleaning a pool is not very nice in the rain and somewhat futile. Oh well. I also ran the rest of my errands including a trip to Target, Walmart, and to the party store.

I picked up some Sleepy Time Tea, an Amy’s Cheddar Cheese Burrito (they were on sale, I just had to!), and 2 EcoTools loofahs for Tyler and I. Ahhh exfoliation! (I also picked up 2 White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Luna Bars, and an Odwalla Chocowalla Bar, but they aren’t in the picture obviously).

Dinner tonight was pretty good, but I didn’t quite cook everything right, so the flavors were right on, while the textures were a bit off.  I made a box of Lundberg Organic Alfredo Risotto and steamed asparagus. I had a little less than half the risotto and half the asparagus. The risotto didn’t quite get cooked all the way, and the asparagus was somewhat over steamed, oh well crap happens. At least it tasted ok!

Dessert was a bowl of strawberries (6 oz) with turbinado sugar, a Kashi TLC Dark Chocolate Cookie, and 1 cup of skim milk! This was a big dessert, but since most of it was fruit I’m going to not worry about it.

    heyy!! three of my favorite healthy foods..

    1. greek yogurt!! i eat is almost everyy day for breakfast! and it keeps me full for 5 or 6 hours sometimes :)
    2. ANY FRUIT! i love making smoothies with fruit.. i love summer because of all the summer-y fruits!
    3. TOFU! i can’t get enough!! haha my favorite is trader joe’s teriyaki baked tofu.. it’s sooo good!!

    1. Greek Yogurt: Protein, probiotics, and flavor. What more could you want?
    2. Oatmeal: There’s just nothing more comforting than holding a big bowl of mush and digging in.
    3: Peanut butter: Ummm, yum. Rich, velvety, flavorful, and full of healthy fats. Where could it go wrong.

    1-Carrots! I can eat carrots like they are candy, raw, steamed, in stir fry or shredded on a sandwich instead of lettuce!

    2-1% milk. This is my go-to solution for reducing calories in recipes (especially baked goods) but still keeping flavor and dairy!

    3-Whole grain cereals-I eat cereal almost every day for breakfast but it also makes a good evening snack, ingredient in muffins and coffee cakes and topping for yogurt!
