After Tyler left I put some laundry in, got my running clothes on, packed a breakfast, and ate a piece of wheat toast with butter spray (I didn’t want anything heavy-so this was just right!)

Then I drove to Pigeon Creek Park. This park is full of great hiking and mountain biking trails that are relatively well marked in my opinion. They also have a sledding hill and a lodge and tons of benches and picnic tables! I ran over 5 miles (according to the map at the trail head) in 45 minutes. It was so nice to mix up my run by running on some dirt/sand/leaf trails. There were a few challenging hills, some trip-up roots, and some sand pits that made the run much more interesting (I would much rather dodge tree roots than cars!).
I found myself not feeling super excited about running at the end of last week, and this run was just what I needed. I get really burned out running on the road, so I think I’ll have to make a trip to the trails to run at least once a week to keep it interesting. Let’s hope they have a lot of parks in Sacramento!
After my run and some good stretching I sat down at a picnic table to eat my breakfast and drink some water. I brought a Nutty Banana Boom PRO BAR.

A quick review of the Nutty Banana Boom PRO BAR!

I was really excited when I received this bar in the mail from a blogger food swap. I’ve known about these bars since high school, because I went to school in a small town near Park City, Utah where the bars are made. Sadly, I had never tried one.

I could smell the delicious banana flavor of this bar as soon as I opened the package. I could also see chunks of chocolate, nuts, and seeds! I savored every last bite of this bar, which reminded me in many ways of a delicious piece of chewy banana bread!
This bar was very dense! It is definitely meants to be a meal (380 calories-for full nutrition info. click the link above)! I ate it at 10:30, and I was hungry but not chewing my arm when I finally ate lunch at 3:30pm!
I don’t typically eat bars for a meal, because I don’t usually feel full after eating them, but this bar was definitely an exception! I would buy this bar again to have on hand for a meal on the go, and would recommend it to anyone! It’s perfect for a grab and go meal or for a quick meal between a workout and work. Great job PRO BAR I can’t wait to try more of these bars!
After my run I drove to my uncle’s house where I spent many hours getting the pool ready for swimming and after many a filter cleaning it is finally clean and ready for cannon balls! Well not really cannon balls, I mean the pool is an out of ground so that could hurt, but you get the idea. While I was there I took his dog Buddee for a walk for a little more exercise!
When I got home at 3:30 I was pretty hungry so before doing anything else (except washing my hands) I made a cheese sandwich on half a slice of wheat bread with colby jack and Nasoya Dijon Style Sandwich Spread. I ate it with a serving of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips (yummee!) and 2 Trader Joe’s Vanilla Meringue Cookies!

I also ate 3 Dove Chocolates between lunch and dinner. Love my chocolate!

We had a lot of fresh beef in the fridge so we had hamburgers for dinner. I had a burger with colby jack cheese, ketchup, and mustard on a white bun with another serving of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips (these are addictive!) Tyler cooked the burgers and he did an awesome job, they were super juicy and just a little pink inside like we like them! We both agreed that from now on Tyler will be cooking the hamburgers!

After dinner we went to the gas station/car wash and vacuumed out Tyler’s car, then we used the drive through car wash. Now both our cars are happy!
I thought we deserved a little treat after all that car cleaning so we stopped at Captain Sundae on the way home for some ice cream. (I can’t wait until we move to Sacramento where they have frozen yogurt everywhere!) I got a medium mint grasshopper Flurrie! It was awesome!

Love that combo of mint and oreos and soft serve…YUM!
We’re back home now and we’re going to watch some CSI Miami!
