Shortly after breakfast, I drove to the beach house to drop off some strawberries and watermelon for my dad. He was excited, who doesn’t love strawberries! I also picked up some leggings my mom bought me to wear with a dress I got this summer.
After chatting with my dad and making plans to go for a bike ride at 7:45 tomorrow morning, I drove to my uncles to clean out the pool filter. It only took me about a half hour, then I headed home.
It was time for lunch so I threw together a few things that need to be eaten, I had half a whole wheat pita with 1 oz colby jack cheese, lettuce, and diced hot cherry peppers (SPICY!), 4 oz of carrot sticks and some Nasoya Dijon Style Sandwich Spread for dipping. I also had 7 oz of watermelon.

A little later I finished off the last of the Trader Joe’s Vanilla Meringues and had 1 Dove Dark Chocolate.

I spent time this afternoon making a sheet for Tyler and I to track our workouts on. I also cleaned up the loft a bit, went through receipts, and did a little laundry. I feel like half my time is spent doing laundry….how sad. Around 5 I had a snack, 1.5 servings of Original Sun Chips to tide me over till dinner.

When Tyler got home from the gym after work, we fixed up some leftovers for dinner. Tyler had the last 3 pieces of pizza from last night, I ate the last piece of jerk tilapia from Monday night’s dinner, on a bed of lettuce with .5 oz shredded colby jack cheese, and a little drizzle of jerk sauce. I also had a whole wheat pita with butter spray and garlic powder. I started with half, but went back for the other half because I was still hungry.

Dessert today/tonight (I ate them throughout the day) was some Dark Chocolates, Milk, and Caramel Chocolates.
At 9, Tyler and I drove to the track at the nearby school and did some speedwork and running. I did a total of 3 miles all together. We started with a 400 warm up. Then I did 6x 400 meters (1:40 min. each). After that I ran 1.25 miles at a much much slower pace! This was a hard workout, I’m not much of a sprinter or fast runner even for that matter, but I think this will help my running overall so I think the plan is to do this once a week (with Tyler).
When we got home I had a quick recovery snack of strawberries and watermelon.

Now for the exciting stuff, my posting may be a bit sporadic for the next week and a half. Here’s my schedule

Alright, I’m out for the night!

Wow! You DO have a busy schedule coming up!
1:40 400s! Awesome! I’ve gotta get to a track. Ugh.
I have been CRAVING pitas lately. Now my cravings have intensified!
WOW-E! You’re going to be busy! Have fun at Metro
Hot cherry peppers? I think I need to investigate that because I love spicy!!
Are those Kangaroo pitas? Best kind!!
You are gonna be a busy lady! Those pitas look veryyyyy gooood! I’m thinking I’m gonna have to be on the hunt for them
Have fun with all of the things you have coming up!!
Busy schedule! Good luck and have fun!
Your pitas look wonderful! What kind do you use??
<3 jess
Wow, I’ve never had so much interest in my pita bread ; )
These are actually just the grocery store brand whole wheat pitas (I shop at Meijer for you Michiganders-K!). I have been really impressed with these (soft and fluffy) and they are always $1.50 for 5 pitas!
I would check your local grocer’s for whatever generic kind they carry, and give it a try (it can be hit or miss with that kind of thing) but I would definitely go for the whole wheat!

The 400′s were killer, but I felt so good about myself after doing them. I would really recommend it! I think I should have started doing 100′s or 200′s walking between, so if you’re going to do anything that is what I would suggest (sprint 100/200, walk 100/200, sprint 100/200, walk 100/200 – you get the idea). We’ll see how they impact my next long run which will hopefully be this weekend in Indy!

The hot cherry peppers are Cento Diced Hot Cherry Peppers. They really add a kick! I think they are meant for hoagies, but I’ve put them on panini’s, in pitas, and even in homemade hummus for a little bite! A little bit goes a LONG way!
Thanks all for the well wishes, and I apologize if I comment less on your blogs, I’m sure you’ll all understand!
My goodness! YOu are going to be so incredibly busy the next little while! BUT your days will be filled with some exciting stuff!!
No doubt your dad was happy with strawberries! I love summer and all the in-season fruit!
I love the Dove chocolate too! Melt in your mouth! yum!
Have a great next week or so!
I love how you love your chocolates! Yummmmm-o. Enjoy your busy schedule!
