I combined Yoplait Light Thick & Creamy French Vanilla Yogurt, 1.5 servings Fiber One Original Bran Cereal, 1.5 oz fresh raspberries, and 1.5 oz fresh blueberries.

I spent the morning sewing buttons on pants, straightening up and blogging, and of course thinking about the next few weeks…I’m a little anxious about this move.
Lunch was a FlatOut wrap with 2 servings of Sonny & Joe’s Buffalo Hummus, grated carrots, 4 lettuce leaves, and cucumber slices. I also had some more cucumber salad (I made more) and a serving of Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels. I followed it up with some dark chocolates.

Shortly after lunch there was a knock on my door, I checked it to discover my bridemaid dress for my brother’s wedding had been delivered! Yay! I tried it on as soon as I could get it out of the box. A side note to explain my excitement…I ordered my first dress online back in December when my soon to be sister in law picked it out. It was a little big, but I was afraid of ordering it too small and figured it would be easier to take in than to let out. I returned that dress to the store last Wednesday and ordered one 3 sizes smaller! So, I tried it on and it fits! It is a little tight around the bust (I am rather well endowed), but I’m hoping that a few weeks of non-vacation eating and exercise will have me fitting in it perfectly! A little tight or no, I am extremely proud of myself that I am wearing I size I haven’t fit in since high school!
Trying on the dress today was kind of the kick in the butt I needed to get back on track (I haven’t been way off track, but I also haven’t been very good with my eating and consistent exercise lately).
After the dress adventure I headed to the beach house to call my mom and chat about the upcoming bridal shower we are cohosting for my brother’s fiancé. After that I drove to my uncle’s house and weeded for an hour and a half. Whew!
When I got home I had a snack, a serving of Kashi Heart to Heart and half a serving of Raisins. This was crunchy and chewy the perfect combo!

I met Tyler at the gym for a workout. I did a 45 minute treadmill workout:
- 5 minutes on level 5
- 10 minutes on level 7
- 3:20 minutes on level 10
- 3:20 minutes on level 13
- 3:20 minutes on level 10
- 10 minutes on level 8
- 10 minutes on level 7
We left and drove home then did a 6 minute jog – we’re both still really tight (leg muscle wise) after the sprint workout on Saturday! I don’t mind the treadmill when I get a decent workout from it.
Dinner was spaghetti with meat sauce…I didn’t measure it out, but tried to only give myself one portion.

For dessert tonight Tyler and I shared an Alternative Baking Company Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie.

I’d seen these cookies in a few different stores here in Michigan, and after checking out their website (click the link above!), I discovered that they are based in SACRAMENTO!!! I was sooo excited, and knew that I had to try them! What better way than to review them here?!?
Alternative Baking Company Cookies are:
- Vegan (no dairy, no eggs, no honey)
- Trans-fat free (no hydrogenated oils)
- Cholesterol free
- Contain no artificial ingredients or refined sugars
- Are made organic flour and organic sugar
Note: The Classic cookies contain wheat and soy, however, they also make wheat-free cookies in 2 flavors!
They offer a variety of Classic cookie flavors (3 of which I will be reviewing), but Tyler loves a good chocolate chip cookie, so we started with the Colossal Chocolate Chip. Each cookie is 2 servings, which worked out perfectly, Tyler and I each got a serving.
Nutrition Facts for Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie
Each cookie contains 480 calories…too many for one dessert, but perfect for sharing! These cookies are so generously sized that I was satisfied eating only half the cookie.
The first thing I noticed was the texture of the cookies when I cut it in half. They were very chewy and moist. I love a good chewy cookie!

I was in love with the first bite! This cookie was NOT bland or flavorless. It lacked the usual “buttery” flavor that homemade cookies have, but I did not mind because the overall taste and texture made up for it (and it is vegan, so the lack of butter is for a reason!)
Tyler also enjoyed the cookie and gave it a 3.9 out of 5 stars. I’d give it 4! The only thing we thought was lacking in the cookie was the flavor of the chocolate chips- you can tell that they are vegan chocolate chips, because the flavor is much more subtle and a little different than a normal chocolate chip.
As I mentioned, I have seen these cookies in numerous stores (and you can order them online through their website). After trying this one I can definitely recommend them!
They are a little on the pricey side, but when you consider they are really 2 desserts in one package (if you can refrain from eating the whole cookie at once), then it is a little more reasonable!
Great job Alternative Baking Company! And Thanks Michelle for giving me the opportunity to review these amazing cookies! I’ll definitely be purchasing them in the future! And don’t be sad readers, I still have 2 more flavors to review!
Well friends, tomorrow is another busy day. I hope you all had a wonderful Monday, I know I did!

Great review of the cookie and CONGRATS on the high school size dress!! That’s great
Yay! Vegan cookies! I have seen that brand – I need to try it. I would have to make sure to split it though
Congrats on the dress! It feels so great to have all of your hard work pay off!
