Free Friday!

Today has been a very plan free day, and I loved it! I got a lot done!

Last night didn’t end up involving a trip to the bar, but it did end with this:

Mint Chocolate Chip Stonyfield FroYo with slivered almonds!

I started the day at 9 by getting out of bed and getting my running clothes on. I grabbed this guy

And ate in on the car ride to the American River Trail. I rocked out 4.5 miles in 41:40 minutes. The Clif Z Bar felt like a rock in my stomach, note to self, not good for pre-run.

After my run I drove to Whole Foods and left with some more peaches (millions of peaches, peaches for me), some Clif bars, and some during run fuel. I decided to try out some of the blocks I’ve seen on blogs for during my 7 + mile runs (this Sunday is a 7 miler!). I’ll let you know how I like them!

I stopped at the post office to pick up this:

Which contained this:

My ceramics teacher made everyone in my graduating class a mug. This is mine.  It had been living in Springfield very lonely, and I found it when I was there for the wedding. My parents moved this past week from Springfield to Michigan so they had been doing all sorts of packing. My mom was so sweet and mailed this to me! I can’t wait to drink tea from it, or maybe even use it for my Greek Yogurt messes…hmmmm.

Lunch was another hugh jass salad with romaine, cabbage, mushrooms, green peppers, carrots, almonds, dried cranberries, feta, and Annie’s Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette, with 2 Urban Oven Asiago Cheese Crackers. YUM!

I spent part of the afternoon making these:

They smelled AMAZING! but I resisted knowing that one would make an appearance in my dessert!

Instead I snacked on a peach (that was started to grow things it wasn’t supposed to…don’t worry I didn’t eat the bad parts), with 365 Honey Crunch and Oat cereal and 1/4 cup Oikos Greek yogurt! So good, and such a balanced snack!

I did some homework, smelled some brownies, watched some Friends, and used the phone. Then it was time for dinner! I had a Boca Original Vegan burger on an Arnold’s Thin, with organic ketchup and mustard, romaine, and colby jack cheese. I also had some carrots and Sabra’s Red Pepper Hummus with it! The veggie burger-thin combination is sooo good, I’d definitely recommend it!

Dessert is coming soon to a blog near you (as in I’ll post it tomorrow), but it will be 1/9th of the brownie pan (160 calories) with a serving of Stonyfield Creme Caramel FroYo…I just can’t resist!

Enjoy the Grocery Shopping 101 post!

I tried the mint flavor, but it was like 5 years ago +
If I remember correctly I liked it. I would have tried it again, except they only had the regular flavor at the local WF’s. I also tried the raspberry flavor (in the past) and didn’t like it!
