*Warning some pictures couldn’t be uploaded…they should be up by tomorrow afternoon, Thanks!

Ok the missing pictures have been posted sorry for the delay!

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday…I took the night off for homework and dinner with Craig.

Wednesday began with a 5 mile run in 48:10 minutes. I tried to slow it down a little so that I was fully ready for my long run of the week tomorrow morning. On my way home I stopped at the store and at Noah’s Bagels to pick up some breakfast food for Craig – I don’t think he would enjoy a green yogurt mess as much as I do haha! Noah’s is a subsidiary of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, the owners of Einstein Bros. Bagels which are a bagel favorite in my family. I’m a little excited to live so close to such a delicious bagel place…and I’m sure my dad will be excited too!

Not surprisingly, I decided to have a Noah’s bagel for breakfast. I chose the whole wheat bagel, and topped it with 1.5 Tbs. of 365 Strawberry Fruit Spread. I also had a 10 calorie (per serving) Energy VitaminWater (picture coming tomorrow)

The bagel was so fresh and chewy – did I mention that I love bagels : )

After breakfast I worked on homework, followed by 20 minutes of Yoga with Enya. Amazingly relaxing! A shower ensued, then I had lunch – some of my simple couscous salad leftovers!

I headed to class after lunch. The afternoon was then spent studying and snacking on a peach and cashews and a bowl of cereal, and a No Pudge.

Craig got back from his day trip to San Francisco around 6:30, and shortly after we headed downtown for some dinner. We chose Amarin Thai which had gotten some good reviews on a number of different websites.

We each started with a Chang beer (it’s a Thai beer) recommended by our waitress who was very helpful and super nice! Craig was super hungry because he didn’t get any lunch and ordered some Fresh Spring Rolls: shrimp, imitation crab meat, rice noodles, lettuce, basil and mint leaves wrapped in rice paper and served with Amarin sauce (sorry no picture – I forgot to bring my camera!). I really enjoyed the Chang and would definitely order it again – it had a lot more flavor than most beers, and went really well with the Thai food. The spring rolls were also fantastic, especially with the Amarin sauce! The ingredients all tasted very fresh!

I ordered the Path Thai  (Pad Thai) with chicken for my dinner. Here’s the description: This special noodle dish is for you who love different tastes with shrimp or chicken, egg, bean sprouts and topped with crunchy peanuts. (This is my leftovers – I only managed to eat about half the dish.)

I’ll have to try a few other Thai restaurants in the area, but I must say Amarin Thai gave me a VERY good first impression, and I will most certainly be going back there! I’ll have to try another dish next time, but I like to judge a place by its Pad Thai, and this dish was very similar to the Pad Thai served at the Magic Kitchen (my favorite Thai restaurant located in Springfield, IL). I’m really glad I found a good Thai restaurant here in Sacramento!

I spent the rest of the night Wednesday working on homework for my three classes today. I didn’t get to sleep until about 12:15, but somehow managed to wake up rested.

Breakfast was a repeat of Wednesday: Noah’s whole wheat bagel and 365 Strawberry Fruit Spread.

Property was especially fun today, because Craig came with me! He wanted to see my school’s campus and see what classes were like here (he attended law school elsewhere). It was a lot of fun showing him around! After class and a quick tour, he headed off to LA. I was super sad to see him go…it’s really nice having visitors here!

Lunch was more simple couscous salad leftovers, 2 mini packages of Whoppers (oops!), one peach ring (unpictured), and some SweetTarts – yea lets not talk about it.

Afternoon snacks included: Apple Heart Thrive, Clif Kid Twisted Tropical Fruit (picture disappeared), 5 oz of grapes, Barbara’s Shredded Spoonfuls,  and 2 vanilla meringues.

After a little relaxing and a lot of studying I had dinner, my leftover path thai from last night. Just as good the second time!

Dessert was a No Pudge brownie from the freezer and the rest of the SweetTarts that I started at lunch.

You probably noticed a ton of snacks and sugar the past two days…I don’t know what the deal is but I have been extremely hungry and craving sugar…Bad news bears! Hopefully I can get it in check tomorrow!

I’m going for my long run of the week tomorrow because Saturday morning I have the McG Raft Race at about 7am…no time for a long run and driving to campus. I’m aiming to be at the trail by about 7:20, so I have time to get ready for class and such. Wish me luck, 9 or 9.5 miles!

I love warm and chewy bagels. I like to bake mine to reheat them instead of toasting–it keeps the texture so much nicer in my opinion
