I’m so glad you all get as excited about bars as I do, and that some of you organize them in a box…what would I do without all of you?!?

I went to bed super early last night (10:30) so that I could be awake nice and early and ready to run!

I got out of bed, got dressed, and got to the American River Trail by 7:50! I ate a Clif Kid Twisted Fruit Sour Apple on the way to the trail, and brought Clif Shot Blocks (strawberry flavor!) for my long run.

I ran a total of 8.5 miles! It took me 1 hour 19 minutes and 39 seconds. I was running under 10 minute miles, so I’m pretty happy with the time. I tried to slow it down in the beginning so I didn’t burn out. The trail was sooo crowded today! There was a huge church group very spread out, training for I’m not sure what…they were all walking. No idea. At mile 4.75 I busted out the Clif Shot blocks. I ate them one at a time and then stopped at a fountain to get a drink. I didn’t mind the stickiness nearly as much this time. I’m super excited though to try the Luna Moons that I have and the Clif Shots that I picked up last night at REI!

It was really a fabulous run, and this is a PR for me! I’ve never run 8.5 miles before! All my long runs between now and the half marathon will be PR’s…its going to be an awesome 4 weeks. I can’t wait until October 4th!

I spent a good amount of time stretching after my run, because my legs were definitely hurting after pounding out 13 miles in the past 2 days. Thank God for stretching! I’m going to stretch tonight before bed and use my foam roller tomorrow to try and make sure I don’t injure myself doing these long runs!

Once I was home, I showered and then had my breakfast! I ate an Amy’s Breakfast Scramble Wrap with a little bit of ketchup and 2 oz of strawberries. These Wraps are pretty calorie dense (380) so I saved it for a day when I was doing a long run. It was pretty delish, I’ll probably buy them again.

Around 11 I broke into this Green & Black Mint Dark Chocolate Bar. I had 6 squares.

Lunch today was 2 oz whole wheat bowtie pasta with the leftover marinara sauce with veggies and Boca Burger from earlier this week. I shaved some fresh parmigiano reggiano on top – love this stuff by the way, definitely worth the money!

While watching Friends I worked on my menu plan for the next two weeks. Is it sad that I get totally geeked when I’m making it? I made it in Word this time and printed it off. Once I’m finished making my grocery list using it, then it’s going on the refrigerator.

Before getting to work on my property homework, I snacked on 3 oz of carrot sticks with 2 Tbs. peanut butter. Love carrots and pb!

Sorry about the half eaten picture...I was so hungry that I started chomping away and then realized I hadn't taken a picture yet...oops

Dinner was a wrap with hummus, lettuce, cucumbers, and feta cheese and a serving of my healthy coleslaw!

I decided to have another home alone movie night with Episodes 3-5 of Weeds Season 1…I know I’m super cool.

My movie treat is rather large, it’s Saturday, dessert is in order. I’m having the last half of my Alternative Baking Co. Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie, the last half serving of Stonyfield Creme Caramel FroYo, and 1/4 oz slivered almonds.

Time for Weeds! Hope you all had a great Saturday! I’m so glad there are 2 days left in the weekend!Time

Great job on your 8.5 miler! 13.1 is going to feel like nothing, especially with the excitement of the race day!

Make sure you have something to drink after you use the Luna Moons – they stick to your teeth and the roof of your mouth.

I think it’s cool you make a menu! I would get into it too! :)

Great job on the run! That’s awesome :) I’ve seen those clif rope things before, but never tried them. I should pick some up! Your healthy cole slaw looks fabulous, too. I love cole slaw, so I definitely need to try that out!
