I basically just used this as any other weekend day.
I woke up around 7:30. I planned yesterday to run this morning, so when I got up I got my running clothes on and then drove to the American River trail. I ran a total of 5 miles in 44:45. The trail wasn’t very busy this morning which I really enjoyed. I love starting my day off with a good run.
I had plans for brunch with a friend of mine from law school whose boyfriend is in town from NY, so I didn’t want to eat a big breakfast. Instead I had half a Thin with 1 Tbs. creamy peanut butter and 1 Tbs. Strawberry Spread. So good!

Around 10:30 I ate 4 oz of organic grapes I got from Trader Joe’s. These grapes were HUGE and not quite as flavorful as I wold have liked. Oh well.

Brunch ended up being more of lunch than brunch but whatever. I met up with Megan and her boyfriend Skyler and the rest of the group (4 others) at Capitol Garage at 12:30pm. They were serving a brunch menu, which I was super excited about!
I ordered the Bed and Breakfast (it’s usually part of their Wake Up menu – breakfast). The Bed and Breakfast was scrambled eggs, ham, mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwiched between thick slices of sourdough with light mayo. I ordered mine without the ham and mayo. The sandwich also came with potatoes and a plate of fresh fruit.

The potatoes had some yummy peppers and onion in with them. I put a little salt and some ketchup on them.
There was a ton of food, so I ate the orange slices and the melon from the fruit plate, and half of the sandwich and the potatoes. I took the rest home for dinner.
The food was a little greasy for my taste, but it was really flavorful and absolutely delicious! Capitol Garage has bottomless Mimosas on Sundays and they had them today as well since it was Labor Day. I was tempted but I decided to pass since I had to drive home. I’m definitely going to take Tyler here when he comes to visit at the end of October!
When I came home I cleaned up a little and then worked on homework. At four I snacked on a Luna Caramel Nut Brownie Bar. This is the last one of this flavor that I have, and I’m kind of glad – it is definitely not my favorite flavor.

After a lot more homework and some distracting myself (oops) I warmed up my leftovers for dinner. I ate the strawberries, pineapple slices, the last half of my sandwich, and the rest of the potatoes. I also had some carrot sticks and hummus.

Everything tasted just as good as it did at brunch/lunch! My eyes were a little bigger than my stomach though - I definitely did not need the carrots and hummus…oops.
After dinner I got back to studying – Oh Civ Pro - you own my life. I had some dessert once I was finished – I had 4 vanilla meringues and 6 squares of the Green & Black Mint Dark Chocolate.

I’ve been super active the past week and my legs are definitely feeling it, so tomorrow is going to be a light day whatever I do. I’m thinking maybe a nice walk tomorrow evening on the trail followed by another Enya Yoga flow. We’ll see how the day goes since I have class from 9am to 6pm – I usually only have it until 4, but I have a class that was cancelled a few weeks ago, and the rescheduled class is tomorrow from 4:15-5:45. It’s going to be a freakin LONG DAY! Wish me luck!

ahh good luck with the long day of class… i have class today from 12-9 with only a break for track practice so we’ll see if i survive too! your bed and breakfast plate looks reallyy good too! i love sourdough bread… the thicker the better
Bottomless mimosas?! Nice deal – next time you’ll have to get a driver
GOOD LUCK TODAY!!
That brunch looks yummy. Good luck with your legs, mine are feeling it too recently
