Oh hey there!

Hi Friends!

I apologize for my extremely LONG absence. I’ve missed you, trust me!

Unfortunately, the river got in a fight with both my camera and my phone on the rafting trip (not to mention my skin, but that is another story for another day)…it was a very sad moment. So, I’ve been camera-less and unable to take pictures of my eats since Saturday.  Fortunately, I was able to get a new phone, because I had insurance on that, but the camera, not so much.

I never knew how much I would miss photographing everything I eat until I had no choice! Fortunately, Tyler was nice enough to mail me his camera, so I will be back in the game in a few days! I have an amazing fiancé – I must say.

My week has been extremely busy mostly due to a lot of homework and a severe lack of homework done over the weekend. Briefing cases after a day of rafting and drinking just doesn’t happen.

I did manage to get some AWESOME runs in this week and am very on track for my half marathon on October 4! I’m started to get really pumped for it!

Monday I ran 5.5 miles in 47:18.

Wednesday I ran the same 5.5 miles in 46:32! Yep I kicked that run’s bootay! (I’m proud can ya tell?)

Tomorrow I’m going to go for a casual run before my long run on Saturday morning.

Saturday morning will be my first EVER double digit run, and I am BEYOND excited, but a little nervous as well. I can’t believe my half marathon is only a little over 2 weeks away!

Tomorrow is also a super exciting day. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is presiding over a groundbreaking ceremony for our Law Library Renovation, and is giving a Constitution Day address.

My friends Julia and Megan, and I were all able to get tickets to the address! Everyone here is extremely excited to have Justice Kennedy here. He actually taught at our school in the past and is still an instructor in a summer abroad program in Salzburg. He is a huge asset to the school.

This may not seem quite as monumental to most of you, but it really is a very exciting opportunity, especially for law students, as we spend a great deal of our time reading cases that these Justices decided.

I promise to give you a full recap tomorrow, although it will be pictureless. Sorry!

Hopefully the camera will be here by Wednesday. There is a special delivery coming that day!

Well I don’t like completely picture-less posts, so here are a few

Sorry to hear about the technology v. water fight :( That would have been upsetting – both the cell AND camera?! Double whammy!

That’s one big shelf haha! Happy Friday!

Welcome back! That really is too bad about your camera…however, that is really sweet of your fiance to send you his. On a happier note, that biscuit from the breakfast buffet looks amazing! I L-O-V-E big fluffy biscuits.

  3. Congrats on those runs and times! I hope the double digits go well. it’s such a great barrier to break
