I woke up just before 9 and did some yoga and stretching for about 25 minutes to loosen up some for my half marathon tomorrow!
I ate breakfast after, but kept it light since it was so late. I had half a serving Oikos Vanilla yogurt and 1 serving of this 365 Fiber Cereal.

I vegged out for most of the morning watching Private Practice and making a meal plan and grocery list for the next two weeks and showering.
At noon I heated up the leftover Annie’s with broccoli from dinner last night for lunch (this is last night’s pic, apparently I forgot to take one at lunch…hmmm)

After lunch I did some major grocery shopping including Trader Joe’s, Sam’s Club, Whole Foods, And Bel Aire…dang! I spent a bundle, but I got a lot of things that will last well into mid November, and $11 worth of toothpaste that will probably last 6 months +. Ridiculous!
Here’s all the loot:

Whole Food's Cranberry Walnut Scone for my parents in the morning!
I shouldn’t have to get too much more this month except fresh produce.
We’ll see how that goes though, because…
Tyler is coming to visit for 17 days! He was originally coming for a long weekend, but was able to work some things out at work so he can stay here and work remotely for the two weeks! He arrives October 23 and leaves November 8. I’m very excited to get to spend some quality time with him, and show him what law school is like. I plan on taking him to at least 1 class with me : )
Back to my eats, I snacked on some grapes around 4 while watching the most recent episode of Private Practice…all I can say after is WOW. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the season!

Our dinner reservations weren’t until 8:30, so I had another small snack around 7, between cleaning and doing my torts homework. I had a serving of Back To Nature Organic Stone Ground Wheat Crackers with a serving of Tribe Organic Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. This was just what I needed to tide me over until dinner.

After getting a little dressed up [didn't want to make sure my parents think I was suffering too much here ; ) ] I left my apartment around 8 and ran a few errands.
I stopped at World Market to get some Pumpkin Spice Coffee for my parents, I couldn’t help but buy some of these cute little packages of almonds!

Our reservation at Enotria was at 8:30, when I got there my parents were already seated!
We ordered a bottle of an Ipsum Verdejo, I had a little more than a glass.

Enotria has these great “small plate” options, which we all chose from for our dinners. Before dinner, they brought out some bread and butter. The bread had some dried fruit in it and was very good!

I had three hunks of the bread – YUM!
I had the Grilled Eggplant Pizza made with olive tapenade cream, marinated cherry tomatoes, mint, basil, fontina and feta cheese.
I shared with the rest of the table, because this pizza was huge!
My mom ordered the Crab Mac and Cheese

And my dad ordered the Prosciutto and Fig Salad

We all three shared a Chocolate Lava Cake, it was decadent!

I was really impressed with this restaurant, the food and wine were amazing, and our server was very nice and very helpful about recommending good dishes. I’ll definitely be venturing back for more yummy eats!
After dinner we headed home.
My parent’s brought me a housewarming present

I’ve been wanting one of these!

My mom found this adorable apron at a store in Grand Rapids, MI called Art of the Table, it matches my green and yellow kitchen linens! You may remember this store from a previous post. My dad and I visited it after having lunch at Wealthy Street Bakery. I picked out some fun kitchen towels and dish towels there. My dad took my mom to the same bakery and then to the store a week or so ago.
I can’t wait to bake some pumpkin bread in my new apron!
I had a few meringues for a little extra sugar : )

Now it’s off to bed, we have to be up early to get to the half marathon on time. I think we’re planning on leaving around 6:15, and the race starts at 7:30. I’ve got all my gear laid out, and the camera is charging. Wish me luck, and get excited for tomorrow’s race recap!
Half marathon dreams here I come!

GOOOD LUCK!!! Kick some butt tomorrow! The chocolate lava cake looks absolutely delicious!!
Good luck with the half! Wow what a grocery trip, that’s a ton of toothpaste, haha. And I like all the cans of pumpkin
Those Kashi waffles are the best!! What a great haul! Looks like a yummy dinner with the parents
GOOD LUCK TODAY!!
You got quite the stock-up there!! I was at our local barn (Farmer’s Market type of place) and noticed those almond slivers and couldn’t help but pick one up! I got the BBQ flavor. Still have yet to try them out though!
I love the apron! Isn’t it great to have an apron with a pocket?
I am so excited that Tyler can come to visit for so long! What a great two weeks that will be! Are you already planning on stuff to do?
I have recently become addicted to the Vitamin Water XXX flavor! I wish I could find that on sale.
