Is it Friday yet?

The week hasn’t been going by that slowly, but I want to see Tyler already!

I woke up this morning and did a quick strength workout in my living room. I did three sets of these (first 2 sets with 5 lb weights, 3rd set with 3 lb weights).

  • 15 Bicep Curls
  • 15 Overhead Presses
  • 15 Tricep Kickbacks
  • 15 Rows
  • 10 Front Bends with a flat back

Breakfast was Chobani Strawberry 0% Greek Yogurt (from my free samples) with 1 serving of 365 High Fiber Cereal.

PA200031

I really like how thick this Chobani was, even with the fruit addition. The flavor was pretty subtle, and not too sweet. Another blog (I can’t recall who – sorry!) commented how they really like that some yogurts don’t have an artificial color – like pink for strawberry. I definitely agree, and that is one thing I like about Chobani – no artificial stuff just yogurt and fruit!

Also there is a coupon on the Chobani website right now – so get your heinies over there and print one off!

I pre-made lunch last night so that I wouldn’t be scrambling in the morning – the only thing I like to scramble in the morning is eggs.

I made a wrap with TJ’s Lavash, Sabra’s Red Pepper Hummus, Lettuce, Cucumbers, Red Peppers, and Mushrooms.

I also packed a peach (which was NOT ripe) and a Clif Kid Chocolate Chip Z Bar.

I ate everything at lunch around 12, so when I finally got home from class around 4:30 I was sooo hungry. I had two snacks before dinner. Carrots and PB, and Alexia Cheddar Waffle Fries.

Dinner was leftover Annie’s Shells and Real Aged Cheddar with Glazed Carrots made using a slightly altered version of the recipe from the Betty Crocker Cookbook.

*I just discovered that the recipe is available on the Betty Crocker website, so if you click the “glazed carrots” link it will take you to the recipe!

I had two desserts tonight…

A TJ’s Strawberry Fruit Floe

PA200037

and a Holey Donuts Low Fat Frosted Vanilla Classic Donut from my free samples (I blame it on the pink sprinkles!).

PA160021

I loved the light vanilla frosting on the donut, and the pink sprinkles made it even better! It also wasn’t super heavy which was perfect since I ate it around 9pm. I let mine defrost without the microwave’s help (mine tends to heat up the donut more than defrost it).

Having these guys in the freezer is becoming dangerous – quick Tyler come help eat them!

Since the Holey Donut, I’ve been doing some Global Lawyering Skills homework (learning how to cite cases – not fun!) and watching the latest episodes of Greek. Did I mention that I am not a great multitasker – oops!

Now I’m going to hit the sack – I’m feeling a little ragged lately, and I DO NOT want to get sick – especially not while Tyler is here. Gotta stay healthy!

Have a great Humpday tomorrow!

  1. Hi, Love your blog! Found it through some others. Loving that donut – I adore anything with frosting and sprinkles :) . Great pictures. Your a first-year Law student? How goes it? I had applied to Law School and got in a few years ago, but decided to pursue Physical Therapy instead. I’m glad I did, I don’t think Law is/was for me…but I’m also not happy with my current life. I love to write…Funny, have you noticed that alot of Lawyers do end up writing – or it’s so in the books haha!! Anyhow, check out my blog and/or add it to your roll if you like it…I just started one – and there’s so much to learn – but I love doing it and hope to find my niche. Take care!

      Jen,
Thanks for checking out my blog, I’ll definitely be visiting yours as well!
It’s funny I actually thought about physical therapy, but decided I didn’t want to be that hands on with people lol!
I really enjoy law school, it is so challenging, and I’m so glad that there are different career opportunities stemming from a JD.
I have noticed that a lot of lawyers end up writing!
      Have a great day!

Peaches can be really tricky. Out of season ( they are in season in the summer in the Midwest), and bought from the grocery, sometimes they never seem to ripen. I wonder if the paper bag method would help?? I love the donut with pink sprinkles!

    • Julia says:

      Barb (aka Mom!)
Thanks for the paper bag tip – I’ll have to try that, because I definitely do not enjoy hard, lackluster peaches!
Oh and if I had known there were donuts with pink sprinkles on them, we would have eaten them while you were here! I was totally shocked when I got the box open and saw pink!

Thanks for the tip off on the coupon!
Darn those Holey Donuts look goooood

  4. Elise says:

no its not friday yet, sadly. this week is far too slow — but yays for tyler coming :)

i think you’ve inspired me to try annie’s dairy free mac and cheese. your meals have been looking sooo good that i’m now craving it!

    • Julia says:

      Elise,
      You’re too cute!
Did you mean Amy’s? I don’t think Annie’s makes a dairy free mac and cheese, but I could be wrong… Amy’s Burritos are probably my favorite quick to make item ever – you should definitely try them if you haven’t!

  5. K says:

I know I’m a little behind but I wanted to tell you that I’m happy you had a wonderful birthday :)

Strawberry Chobs was my first Greek yogurt love! It’s what got me hooked!! That wrap looks fantastic! Those darn pink sprinkles will get you every time!!

    • Julia says:

      K,
Don’t feel bad, I’m super behind on my blog reading as well! I’m afraid to look at my google reader for fear that it might just cause my computer to explode lol! Thanks for the belated birthday wishes!

  6. Liz says:

Love the wrap! Is the Lavash the wrap part? Almost there to Friday!!

  7. Danielle (your cousin) says:

Are those waffle fries frozen and you heat them up, or are they snacks like in the cracker aisle? I looked for them at the store and found other flavors, but not the cheddar.

    • Julia says:

      Danielle,
I found them in the Chip Aisle at Target. Alexia also makes a ton of frozen stuff- including sweet potato fries, but I’ve yet to try any of them. If you try some of them let me know!

  8. julie says:

Hahaha that holey doughnut reminds me the The Simpsons doughnut in a major way. And I don’t even watch that show.

thanks for the coups link I defintiely need to capitalize on that free cup of love :)
