I started off the day with a 3.5 mile run that I finished in 28:22!
After some stretching, I did some leg work at home with 2 sets of:
- 20 Backward Leg Extensions per leg
- 20 Fire Hydrants per leg
- 20 Leg Lifts per leg
Today I decided to try a new strategy to keep the snacking at bay, by eating 6 small meals rather than 3 large ones.
At about 8:30 I ate a Pineapple 2% Greek Yogurt Chobani!

I was shocked at how long it kept me full – gotta love that about Greek Yogurt!
Right before my 10:30 class, I ate a Banana Bread Lara Bar.

At 12:15 I ate a small apple and a Honey Graham Clif Z Bar that I had brought to school with me.


I didn’t end up leaving school until 4, because I stayed for a talk given by a professor and then did some work on a research assignment. I also had to stop at the bank, so I didn’t get home until about 4:45.
I ate a snack of Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies.

I got some fabulous birthday presents in the mail today!

My brother Craig got me the DVD Paper Chase and Season 4 of Weeds!

And my sister Diana got me 3 cute scarves from Old Navy – she did a great job picking colors! I can’t wait to show these off!

I was able to hold off on dinner until 7pm. I was in the mood for a sandwich so I made a lavash wrap with Laughing Cow Lite, Sabra’s Red Pepper Hummus, romaine lettuce, mushrooms, green peppers, and mustard for a little extra flavor. I ate it with some carrots and honey mustard for dipping (I combined some regular mustard with a little bit of Annie’s Lite Honey Mustard dressing -it was awesome!).

I also had a juicy (much more ripe) peach!

Dessert was Chocolatey Cats (I mean come on what else would it be haha).

I feel a lot better about what I ate today – thanks for the encouragement everyone!
At 10, I’m picking Megan up and driving her to the airport, and then waiting there until midnight when Tyler’s plane gets in. I’m hoping to get lots of reading done at the airport!

hooray for presents in the mail! i love weeds. i am all caught up through season 4. i checked out your other post that i missed and when i start mindless eating i try to just chug some water or do something else to occupy my time. that mindless snacking can be sneaky!

for a nice dessert, try unsulfered and unsweeted dried mango from tj’s. it tastes like candy and kills the sugar craving without the added crap. one of my favorites
