But as a loyal foodie, I found time for some delish eats.
Breakfast this morning was pumpkin oatmeal with cinnamon and brown sugar. I am always impressed with how long oatmeal keeps me satisfied.

I packed a hasty lunch on my way to class – an apple, Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies, and a Chocolate Brownie Z Bar.

Little did I know that they were having more Halloween treats today on campus. When I went to the student center between my class and my partner’s oral argument, I found some very tempting Halloween cupcakes – I had a lemon flavored cupcake with vanilla frosting and a candy corn on top. I also brought a cupcake home for Tyler – I thought the green spider was a nice touch ; )

I got home from my day at school around 5, but still had to finish up my research assignment.
When that was finally done, I made dinner for Tyler and I. This pasta was a repeat of Sunday’s dinner – Whole Wheat Penne and Bowtie Pasta with TJ’s Marinara Sauce, Shrimp, and the last of the freshly grated parmigiana reggiano (don’t fret Tyler and I picked up a nice hunk of parmesan at TJ’s when we were there on Sunday). I made a few improvements on the meal by adding more shrimp, more marinara sauce, melting some of the freshly grated cheese into the sauce, and mixing the pasta and the sauce together before plating it. It made everything a lot more flavorful, and the sauce more evenly distributed. I also spiked mine with some red pepper flakes – I like a little heat.

With dinner, Tyler and I shared a peach and a banana that were on their way out. It makes me so sad when peaches become out of season : (

Remember that generous package of Newman’s Own Organics that I got in the mail a few weeks back? Well, today was the first time trying the foods, and they did not disappoint!
Tyler and I shared a bar of the Newman’s Own Organics Signature Series Milk Chocolate, and I tried some of the Newman’s Own Organics Cinnamon Hermits.

We both really enjoyed the milk chocolate – Tyler kept asking if it had “funny” ingredients before he tried it, I think he realized after that it definitely did not. I liked that the milk chocolate had a higher percentage of cocoa and tasted like real chocolate.

The Cinnamon Hermits also did not disappoint – Tyler is not a big raisin fan so he let me try these on my own. The Hermits were like a miniature cookie bar. They were moist, and had a really nice cinnamon flavor, and the raisins were not hard or dried out. They also did not taste artificial – but more like something home baked with lots of spices and flavors. I only wish they came in a Chocolate Chip version as well.

Since our dessert adventures, Tyler and I have been relaxing and watching shows on our laptops.
The title of this post is really very inaccurate, because, despite the fact that it is Halloween weekend, we have no weekend plans. We’ve thrown around a number of different ideas, but we can both be very indecisive are both so accomodating that we haven’t picked an idea and gone with it yet.
So I’ll end with Janetha’s usual of 2 questions:
1. What are your Halloween weekend plans (although they don’t have to be Halloween related)?
As I said, Tyler and I currently have none.
2. What is one idea you have for Tyler and I to do this weekend?
I won’t answer this one, it’s just for you.

I had pumpkin oatmeal this morning as well!
Great minds think alike!
I am going to spend time with my family and get some starbucks, and a good new book.
I’m excited for some relaxation time!!
I think you and Tyler should just relax and enjoy each other. You are obviously very busy with school and don’t get to see him a lot so I think you two should spend some quality time together

I love the hermits. I’m a soft cookie fan so those are perfect for me

No plans for this chica either. You guys should go hiking! So much fun. It’s my fave thing to do with Jacob.
