I woke up around 6:45 got my running clothes on and went for my last run until my half marathon on Sunday. I ran 2 miles as the training plan suggested in about 17 minutes.
After stretching I hurriedly showered, dressed, got my outfit together for my oral argument, packed my lunch, and packed up all my things for class. I was out the door by 8:10. I didn’t have time for breakfast at home so I took this Odwalla Banana Nut bar with me and ate it in the car. I really liked this flavor, but it had some cripsy rice pieces in it that kind of threw me for a loop – two very different textures in one bar.

Here’s the breakdown of the rest of the day time wise:
9:00-10:30 Property Law Class
10:45-11:45 Practice Tort Law Exam
11:45-1:00 Lunch, Studying
1:00-2:30 Contract Law Class
3:00-4:00 Global Lawyering Skills Class
4:00-6:00 Got dressed for and fine tuned my Oral Argument for Civil Procedure
6:00-7:00pm Gave my Oral Argument – I was representing the defendant arguing that a Tennessee federal court should not have personal jurisdiction over my client. It was a great experience. Julia was counsel for the plaintiff so we were “arguing” against each other : )
We decided to take some “Law and Order” esque pictures afterwards…

We look like real lawyers!
I didn’t get home until about 7:30. It was a long but very valuable day!
My lunch was veggies with Tribe Spicy Chipotle Hummus, Kashi TLC Cheddar Crackers, and some avocado from Megan that I ate with the peppers and hummus – yummy. The Clif Kid Twisted Fruit ended up being a snack before my oral argument, and the Chocolate Heart Thrive is my dessert.

It was a long day so I decided to treat myself with some SweetTarts and two York Peppermint Patties.

Half the SweetTarts are supplementing my dessert.
Dinner was a yummy Amy’s Organic Cheddar Cheese Burrito with a little ketchup and the very last of my Food Should Taste Good chip samples (these were jalapeno flavored) with the last of my jar of TJ’s Chipotle salsa.

I also ate some cold and crunchy (as opposed to mushy – I think you get what I mean) grapes with my dinner!

I’m off to eat dessert soon and watch some shows on Hulu while I contemplate Civil Procedure for class tomorrow.
Did you know that if you are lured to a state by deceit or fraud and then served with process in that state (such as divorce papers, summons, etc) that that service is improper? We are currently reading a case about two lovers, the woman lured the man to Florida claiming that she wanted to see him one last time before she left the U.S. to take care of her sick mother in Ireland (that was all a lie) and then had him served when he landed in the Florida airport. The court held that the service was improper because the woman fraudulently lured the man there. Interesting stuff!
Just thought I’d share some law with you : )
Well have a great night friends! I’m sooo glad tomorrow is Friday!
