Leavin’ On A Jet Plane

Well, I’m officially done with my first semester of law school. Tomorrow I fly back to Michigan for the holidays!

Fall semester grades don’t come out until January 8th, so I plan on not thinking about law until then!

After the property exam on Thursday, I went to a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party on campus with some friends. Later we headed to the bar. It was a lot of fun hanging out, knowing that we have almost 25 days before it’s back to the grind.

Yesterday, I went to the outlet mall to shop with Julia, Megan, and Julia’s friend. It was so hard not buying things for myself! I did manage to get part of a Christmas present for someone else.

Today I slept in. I spent the morning doing a whole lot of nothing. Breakfast was Plain Chobani with High Fiber Cereal and an apple cut up.

Lunch was 2 scrambled eggs with green peppers, on a toasted thin, with carrots and Tribe 40 spice hummus.

After lunch, I drove to campus and did 60 minutes of cardio.

  • Treadmill: 22 minutes, 2.53 miles
  • Elliptical: 23 minutes, 1.51 miles
  • Stationary Bike: 15 minutes, 3.5 miles

I stretched then drove home.

I had a quick afternoon snack, some more carrots with the last of the Tribe Hummus.

After a shower I got started on laundry, which I’ve been doing since then.

Dinner was Butternut Squash Soup, a Michette Roll with Laughing Cow Light Swiss and Strawberry Fruit Spread, and the last of the carrots.

I spent the next part of the evening going over my packing list, getting things together, doing laundry, and chatting with Tyler.

Dessert was a nice break from the packing and laundry. I had half a bar of Newman’s Own Organics Signature Series Super Dark Chocolate, 2 Tangerines, and some Honey Whole Wheat Pretzels, along with some Mint Hot Chocolate – YUM!

Unfortunately, I’m still not completely done packing, and it’s almost midnight – I’m hoping I can be in bed within a half hour.

I’m planning on going for a run early in the morning, finishing packing, and then going to Megan’s apartment. From there, her brother is driving us both to the airport. My flight doesn’t leave until 12:15pm, so I’ll be hanging out at the airport for a little extra time, but it was worth it to not have to take a $60 cab ride to the airport!

I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m so excited to see Tyler tomorrow night, and then to see my family on Monday!

I can’t believe Christmas is only 5 days away!

Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done?

I don’t and I’m definitely feeling the crunch!

Have a great Sunday – I’ll be back tomorrow with a recap of my travel eats.
