Reading Week Day 4

Sorry my posts are such a bore lately, such is the life of a law student during final exams.

Sounds like other people’s favorite cardio is running also.

Breakfast was eaten in two parts. I had a Kashi Pumpkin Flax Granola Bar.

I ate the first half before going to the gym. I also dropped off my Angel Tree gift then.

I spent an hour on the elliptical, and then another 30 minutes on the bike.

Then I left and ate the other half of the granola bar.

Lunch was an Amy’s Cheddar Burrito and Broccoli with ketchup.

After lunch I headed out for some shopping. I went to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Target. At Trader Joe’s I tried a sample cracker with cheese. The ones they had out had salami as well, but the lady distributing them was nice enough to make me one without cheese. I always appreciate things like that.

I spent a lot of time prepping for grocery shopping for the next few weeks. As I mentioned, I’m on a super strict budget. My grocery budget for now until December 20 (when I fly to MI) was $40. I’m happy to say I was able to stay under $40!

Here’s the loot:

Would you believe I got all of this food for only $39.53. The two cans of corn went straight to the donation box at my apartment complex that is going to provide 500 meals for 500 families this Holiday season.

One of the tangerines in the bag was half bad, so I ate the good half. I was kind of disappointed when I discovered these things had seeds in them…blech!

I had two afternoon snacks Newman’s Own Organics Barbeque Soy Crisps and a carrot with 1 Tbs. peanut butter.

Dinner was 1 serving of polenta (1/4 cup dry) with 1 oz shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 poached eggs! So good!

I ate this Dark Chocolate Covered Mocha Square that I received as a sample at Trader Joe’s with my dinner. It was really good! I may have to pick some up in January.

Dessert was more like a 4th meal with an Xagave Double Chocolate Bitter Brownie, 1 Tbs. peanut butter, 1/2 serving Newman’s Own Organics Organic Apricots, and 1/2 serving Newman’s Own Organics Thin Stick Pretzels, and 2 Newman’s Own Organics Hermits.

This was my first time trying the Original Hermits (I had the Cinnamon before). I can’t decide which I like better. These were equally chewy, and the raisins just as moist, not hard and dry like in some cookies.

Oh and dried apricot + peanut butter = amazing!

I may have had a cocktail while watching Private Practice, that definitely didn’t make it to the camera. Think soymilk with Strawberry Irish Cream…sooo good.

Well I’m going to try to study a little more, then it’s time for bed! Tomorrow morning I’m meeting up with some friends to go over practice exams we did today. I’m stopping at Noah’s Bagels to grab some bagels for our study sesh.

Are you glad tomorrow’s Friday…I’m not, because it means my Civil Procedure final is only a day away! Yikes!
