Holiday Cheer

Its been awhile hasn’t it. I’ve been busy with a cross-country road trip, Thanksgiving, and then exams, all in a row.

Despite the craziness, I’ve been enjoying a little holiday cheer.

I try not to drink too much soda (my dentist agrees with that idea) but this stuff only comes once a year, so I have to enjoy it while I can.

And these only come once a year as well.

You saw that coming didn’t you, because you know of my love of SweeTarts?

And to take care of my mental health during the holidays I’ve been giving myself manicures and pedicures using this winter color: Essie Merino Cool.

I think its dark, but classy and doesn’t look harsh like plain black nail polish.  I’d show you how it looks on my nails but it has been a week since I did mine, so they are looking a little ragged. I can’t wait to pamper myself a little later in the week with an all new paint job.

In other news, I get to see Tyler in less than a week, if that isn’t exciting and a reason for holiday cheer, then I don’t know what is!

I’ve got another update on what he’s been up to, I’m saving it for a little later in the week.

Yay to seeing Tyler soon. :) I love painting my nails deep colors…especially before a climbing trip, which really just doesn’t make much sense. I’ve been eying a couple Essie shades.
p.s. Love the header — rustic but bright.

Thanks Allie, I was super bored with the old header, and this is a pretty old photo, but it does the trick.
I love that you paint your nails before a climbing trip. I haven’t been climbing as much lately which is why I even bothered painting them in the first place, otherwise it drives me crazy how easily they get ruined.
I love the array of colors Essie has, I’m kind of addicted.

I LOVE SweetTarts…are those ones like the originals or are they like the weird chewy kind?

      Hi Ally!
So glad I’m not the only one!
The Merry Mix is like the originals, not the chewy ones. And a random tip…the ones packaged in the box taste kind of stale to me, so if you buy them, go for the bagged. It’s so sad that I know SweeTarts in this much detail.

Thanks for the tip…headed for the store this afternoon, I’ll keep my eye out for the bagged ones. I’ll “need” to pick up some of those and of course more of the Candy Cane Hershey Kisses…my waist line is so not liking me. ;)
