Hi! I’m Julia, the author of Jogging My Memory.
I’m 24 and I live in Sacramento, CA where I am in my third year of law school.
Tyler and I got married on July 24, 2010, and celebrated our one year anniversary this past July.
Abraham Lincoln once said: “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” I think the important things in life are how you live and the things you do and experience. Tyler and I strive to have new experiences and create new memories all the time.
So how do I choose to live, and what experiences and memories do I look for?
Cooking and eating good food are important to me.
I think some of the best memories are made around a good meal or are connected to a different food. I strive to eat real foods: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc., but I try not to limit myself, and I am almost always up for trying new foods.
Being active makes me a healthier, happier person.
Some of my favorite activities include rock climbing, running, hiking, walking, yoga, biking, and even weight lifting on occasion. I like to enjoy my activity/exercise and think it is important that others do the same. Find something that makes you happy!
Being in nature, in the outdoors, is my favorite place to be.
Many of the activities I enjoy most are outdoor activities: hiking, rock climbing, biking, etc. I feel at peace in nature and am constantly amazed at what God has created.
I am always looking to experience new things and see new places.
Tyler and I enjoy traveling, whether it is a trip to the Grand Canyon or seeing an impressive historical sight, we love making memories together at these places.
I hope you enjoy reading. Feel free to ask any questions or leave comments, I love hearing from people.
